Stones

Hello my favorite blog friends!! It’s been a crazy few days for me. Let’s back up to Wednesday night when I last posted!

If you recall I went to the doctor Wednesday afternoon and the week before I was feeling “off”. Well I had UTI…twice. :( (sorry if this is TMI!) Got it a week ago Monday, came back this Wednesday, and early Thursday morning I woke up with a horrible pain in my back. I had kidney stones. :( The doctor prescribed a few different meds and said I would just have to wait for them to pass and believe me it was painful! I was home from work all day Thursday. Luckily Kyle was off work and took good care of me!

He even made a WW friendly crock pot meal! I believe this recipe is courtesy of Kelly. (Kelly if I’m wrong, you can take the credit anyway!)DSC07072

Cheesy Crockpot Chicken, 8 servings, 3 points each

  • 2lbs chicken breasts
  • 2 cans cream of chicken or celery soup (ff)
  • 1 can cheddar cheese soup
  • 1/2 t garlic powder

Place chicken in crock pot. Mix the soups together with garlic powder and pour over chicken. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Serve over rice or noodles.

Friday I was feeling much better than Thursday, still not 100%, but I knew I had to go to work to get some stuff done. I put in a part day and then we headed to my sister’s in Omaha. We had to take them some stuff and pick a few things up from them!DSC07078

We were only going for the evening so they made us dinner and ate in at their place! (it’s a 3 hour drive) We had chicken parmesan, Kyle’s favorite!DSC07075

We spent the evening talking about what she should do in her house…decor wise! They just moved in 6 weeks ago. It’s a HUGE lake house! Can’s wait to spend the weekends in the summer with them! Before we hit the road we had to hit up DQ for their BOGO deal! DSC07081

We also got to see Kyle’s little sister! She also lives in the Omaha area and joined us for the evening! It was a fun time, but short! DSC07079

I think the stones are mainly all gone, but I still have a slight pain, so I’m not sure. The doctor said it may take up to 4 days!

That’s about all I know for now guys! Hope everyone has a great weekend! We have some more family time on the schedule! :)

Ouch! I've had one before, but it passed with relative ease, though I've heard many a horror story. I hope that gets better.

I'm a past Omahaian or whatever. From '71 to '83...left after freshman year of high school. It was a great place to grow up, though with many unhealthy food options, it was a great place to grow out too!

My brother in on a road trip there as we speak with an old high school mate going down memory lane. If I went, it would be a food fest, so I'm glad I'm not there. Yummmm.

What a nice visit you had, even if it was short!

HAHA, you said "Read With Caution" about the DQ special ... I was warned. Don't feel bad :)

I'm sorry to hear about your UTI troubles. I've had that once before and it was probably some of the most uncomfortable pain I've ever been in (including giving birth!). I've heard the stones are much worse. So you definitely have my sympathies. Sure hope it clears quickly for you.

Youch, glad you are feeling better!

I totally want to go get a blizzard, but I don't want to give in to the temptation...ice cream is totally my weakness.
