Hope everyone had a great weekend! Our’s was full, but great!
Kyle and I made it home from Omaha late Friday night, but still managed to roll out of bed Saturday morning and hit the pavement for our long run! We got in 8 miles, but they were HARD! I don’t think the kidney stones helped, I had to take a lot of walk breaks. But we finished and got the miles in.
I made protein smoothies for both of us when we got home. I mixed up 1 c strawberries, 1 small banana, 1 scoop protein powder, and ice for a total of 4 points. Don’t ya love the Hawkeye mug!?!?
Kyle headed to work and I was lazy! I think the late night and long run wore me out! When Kyle got off we headed to his parents house. Kyle’s Mom makes some great homemade pizza!
The majority of the night was spent watching sports…Kyle just couldn’t pick: hockey, baseball, basketball, or arena football! His decision was to get multiple TVs! I napped!
Oh and the best part of the night was homemade ice cream!! Can’t beat it!!
We got home late Saturday night and rolled out of bed early Sunday morning for church! After church we did our weekly grocery run and then hit up a local favorite Mexican restaurant for lunch. (NOT point friendly!)
Afterwards we napped and then got up and got busy in the kitchen! We baked cookies and banana bread! It was Kyle’s boss’ birthday, another boss was in the hospital, and a friend got dumped this weekend. So we wanted to cheer everyone up!
And we made all our deliveries to everyone and I think made them all smile! :) It’s fun to do simple acts of kindness!
I hope everyone had a great weekend! I should be back to my normal daily posts this week now that I’m feeling better!
And just for fun here is a picture of my sweet little Abby! She was at our feet the entire time we were baking just hoping we would drop something for her!

That homemade pizza looked good! I always think it's better at home!
Great run!

Wowza, 8 miles is awesome!
I'm dying to make homemade ice cream! I've been eyeing up those ice cream makers for a while...probably not a good thing for me to get.... ;)
You're a beast to get in that run!!
Awww that's so sweet that you guys baked for your friends. And that you did it together.
Hope you're feeling better.
Hi Abby! She's adorable!
I need to bake and give it away. So much better that way!
