Stocking Up

Can you tell I had fun last night playing Rock Band? :)

I had a wonderful wake up call from my Mom. Her and my Step Dad have a lawn business and were going to be spraying yards today and wanted to know if we wanted ours sprayed! Of course I said yes! DSC06995

For their kindness I made them breakfast! This was my servings, ff pancakes with ff Cool Whip & strawberries for 5 points. DSC06994

After they headed out I started laundry and worked out our menu planner for the week. The last time I did one was in February! I think it is key to be able to stay on track!DSC06997

Did any of catch the center piece on my table in the background? I put this together with sand & shells from our Florida trip. So now we are reminded of Florida each time we see it!DSC06998

Abby spent the majority of her day basking in the sun in our bay window!DSC06999

Kyle and I, on the other hand, hit the pavement for a run! We got in 5.25 miles [a tad slow…but I think it’s partly because I talked for almost the whole time!]. It was a great run!DSC07000

After our run I made us matching to-go protein smoothies! In the blender was 3c strawberries, 1 scoop protein powder, banana, 1/4c milk, and ice. My half was 3 points. DSC07002

We took our protein smoothies to go because we took a short road trip to Sam’s Club to stock up on a few essentials. We also bought a small chest freezer….but not thinking we brought our car and not the SUV and the freezer didn’t fit in the back seat!DSC07003

We ended up returning the freezer since it didn’t fit. Out of curiosity [for some reason] I called Lowes [across the street] to see what their price was and they were $20 cheaper and they have free delivery to our town! I told Kyle I think the Sam’s Club freezer wasn’t meant to be so we could save some $$!

Speaking of saving $$ I loved all of your ideas of why we are tightening up our budget belts. But no I am not pregnant and we’re not moving! You’ll just have to wait & see! ;)

I tested out the new 90 calorie Fiber One bars. They are only 1 point and the flavor was peanut butter chocolate…good stuff! :)DSC07005

We went simple, healthy, and cheap for supper…Subway! I had the 6 inch chicken teriyaki for 7 points. DSC07007

Kyle wanted you guys to see his sandwich too…roast beef! ;)DSC07006

The tradition is that we must go to Cold Stone when we make our Sam’s Club run! I was a good girl though and ordered the “Like It” Sinless Sans Fat Sweet Cream Ice Cream with strawberries & granola for 5 points. DSC07013

I’m ready for bed! We have church in the morning and a 5K race in the afternoon! Hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend!

Good luck on your 5k!! I'm still curious as to why you're tightening your budget. :) Last time we went to Coldstone, I got their sorbet. It's pretty low calorie and super delicious with banana for a mix in. You should try it!

I think you are tightening your belts because you are going to purchase a house. Question... do you wear the chest strap with your Garmin?
