Foggy Tuesday

I slept like a rock last night and it felt great! Woke up, hopped out of bed, and hit the gym for a quick 20 minute interval run! Boy do those really get my heart pumping.

Did you know interval training not only elevates your metabolism for a longer period of time after exercise (so you burn more fat when resting), but it also keep  your body from using muscle as fuel! Learned that in my Oxygen magazine last month!

After my quicky run I made my usual oatmeal with PB2 and a small sliced banana for 4 points. DSC06333

I was uber productive this morning at work. Not that I am not always productive, it just seemed like I was EXTRA today!! :)

My first morning snack was 1 cup of grapes for 1 point. These are some of the smallest grapes I've had before, but they are SUPER crisp! Doesn't usually happen that way. DSC06334

About 1 1/2 hours later I had ww strawberry yogurt with 1/4c of grapes nuts for 2 points. DSC06335

I ran a few errands on my lunch and stopped home to let my pup out. Since I had minimal time at home I went for a SmartOnes, not the best choice, but still within my points.DSC06338

While it was cooking I had a few slices of fresh pineapple (1 point) my sweet neighbor gave us! DSC06336

And the main course was creamy rigatoni with broccoli and chicken for 5 points. DSC06337

Check out how foggy it was today? This was about 2pm…are you sure this is Iowa & not London?!?!?DSC06339

My afternoon flew by and I headed home. I had a Fiber Plus bar for 2 points to hold me over while Kyle & I stopped over at a friend’s house. DSC06340

We ended up staying a little longer than expected so our supper was quite late! So I made a fast supper. I had 1c cooked whole wheat pasta & 1/2c marinara sauce for 4 points. DSC06341

We are now settled in watching the Biggest Loser. Which makes me think I need to get my gym bag packed…later friends!

TUESDAY'S STATS
POINTS = 18/23
WATER = 112 oz
EXERCISE = 20 min interval run

I've seen fresh pineapple around alot lately and have one sitting on the counter waiting to be diced...better get on that!

Great eats Darci, that's some fog you've got, we got snow yesterday and it's really nippy out today and will continue for the next couple. hopefully the sun comes out soon!

Wow, that was a foggy morning!

Love your eats. They always look so good. :)

I need to try that interval training. I've certainly read a lot about it lately. Right now I'm just trying to get through C25K.

good job getting your exercise in and staying on track!!!

I absolutely love interval workouts! I think they are so good for the bod and keep it challenged. Way to go!

Aren't you sick of the fog and the rain? I am! It's terrible, especially in the morning but today it hung around almost all afternoon. Can't wait for the sunshine again!
