I really hope you guys aren't getting tired of reading about me losing weight; because I know I sure am not getting tired of blogging about it! Once again, the scale went down this morning: 1.5 lbs, 17 lbs total! It is so motivating to see the number keep going down, down, & down! I know I have to attribute a lot to my time in the gym. I just hope it continues!
Today since we didn't eat breakfast before we went to church (I usually save points to go out to eat after church, but we just came home and made "brunch") I had a bunch of left over points. But I really felt satisfied and didn't want to eat 8 points at 8pm just to use them up, so I didn't. I hope that doesn't hurt me. I know it's not good to not eat all your points either.
I can't believe the weekend is almost over. I am excited for wi on Tuesday. I hope to get another 5 lb star! And I am also hoping for the day off on Tuesday. A major snow storm is headed our way, we're on the line for 3-6 or 5-7 inches of snow and they are predicting some major wind gusts (Not that I want snow, but a day off is always nice)! And since I work at a community college we usually close when it's bad out because a lot of our student's commute. So I am keeping my fingers crossed for a day off on Tuesday! :)

Since I've been getting up during the week around 5:15ish I think my body is getting adjusted to that and for some reason I woke up right around that time this morning. I was really hoping to sleep in a bit, but I'm glad that I got up. I continued reading in my book (New Moon...2nd book in the Twilight series) and then I was the gym at 8am when it opened. And I got in a great workout; finished week 3 of my training program, earned some major AP's, and finished my book. What a nice way to start the morning!
I also took my measurements this morning. I measure myself in 10 different places and lose 9 3/4 inches in one month! Couldn't believe it, but that is probably why some of my smaller pants are fitting me again!

I LOST TWO MORE LBS!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited (you just have me imagine me dancing & jumping around the house with excitement! My neighbors probably think I'm nutso) The scale hadn't moved much since Sunday and I was starting to get discouraged because I've been right on track....but it's NOT stuck anymore!! So that's 15.5 lbs total that I've lost! I am pumped! Now I know my scale and the ww scale are different, but lately the ww scale has been less so I think that is to my advantage! TOM is right around the corner so I don't want that to hurt my wi on Tuesday, so I am going to be very focused this weekend and get in some good work outs.
Just as if the morning couldn't get any better, I thought well I haven't tried any of my "skinny pants" (ones that I haven't worn in over a year) (way TOO tight) and so I thought I should just try to see how much more I need to lose before they fit and low & behold, they FIT!!!! And I didn't even have to lay down, no muffin top....it feels great!! These are pants when I bought them they were on super clearance at Gap and they were longs (which I have a hard time finding on the clearance rack) and so I had to buy them, even if at the time they didn't fit...I couldn't even get that button even a bit close to the stinking hole on the other side, but now I CAN!!!
Aaaaahhh!! Sorry for the excessive amount of exclamation points....I'm just so excited! And to top it off, It's Friday!!! Hopefully this is a good preview of how my weekend will go!
DH took me out on a much needed "date" tonight. (he's been working a TON lately and I feel like we don't see each other much) We went to Applebees for supper. I love that they have the ww menu. It helps TREMENDOUSLY. As you have probably been noticing I am NOT a salad person at all. And if I was that would be the easy thing to order at any restaurant, but not for me. And believe me, I've tried to eat lettuce, in many forms and in large beautiful salads, but I just can't do it. It makes me gag! Sorry for that little detour! But anyway, it's nice to be able to go there and know what the points are! After supper we went to the movie "Twilight". I finished the book on Sunday and was dying to see the movie and much to my surprise DH wanted to see it too! It was a fun evening. Oh and I have a confession to make, I took my own food into the movie theater. I made ww 1 point kettle corn before we left, put it in zip lock baggie, and put it in my "over sized movie purse"! Part of me felt bad, but then once we were at the theater and I had the "munchies" I was glad to have a "healthy" snack and I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything because I still had my "movie & popcorn"!
I hope everyone has a good weekend! I'm definitely looking forward to it!

Made it to the gym again this morning. And again my sister & her hubby were there! I think I might have new gym buddies! I'm excited too because her husband is all about lifting and I am hoping he can come up with a good weight routine for me to do. I haven't done any weights so far and know that it would definitely benefit me to add those to my workout routine.
So last night I was watching the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and just thinking to myself how stinking' skinny those girls looked and then I read "Fifty Eight Day Challenge's" post this morning...kinda ironic! It's sad that those are the images that young girls are trying to replicate in themselves. But for some reason for me it just makes me want to work that much harder to get into shape. So I think there's two sides to it. On the news they were talking about it and how it is such a bad image for girls to look up to, but then someone else pointed out that a huge portion of our country is overweight....interesting point! And these girls are also more "curvy" than traditional runway models. So what do you think?
So I just realized this last night, 1 c of cucumbers are 0 points!! I was pretty excited, I've been counting it as 1 point this whole time! (just thought I would share that!)
I really am not able to see the difference yet in how I look 13.5 lbs lighter, but I've gotten 2 comments in the past day. One from my sister last night at the gym, she said "Your face is really starting to look a lot thinner" and then a co-worker (who doesn't know I'm trying to lose weight) stopped by my office and said "Darci you look really skinny today, are you losing weight?". It's great to hear those comments, really makes all the time & effort worth it! I just can't wait till I can see the difference.
