Days 122-123 (Friday 3/6 & Saturday 3/7)

Hello everyone and happy weekend!

For some reason I was STARVING on Friday!! Here is a quick recap:

Third time’s a charm!! Got in 31 minutes on the cross ramp this morning! Breakfast was oatmeal and a sliced apple for 3 points. DSC02000

My morning snack was a mix of a sliced banana and strawberries for 3 points. DSC02001

I could hardly wait for lunch. Not sure why I was so hungry?!? I made a smart one’s cheese pizza for 7 points. But while that was cooking I snacked on some honey nut cheerios and a few bites of peanut butter for 5 points. Why Darci…why??DSC02002

You would think all those points would’ve filled me up….but nope I had to have desert before heading back to work. A skinny cow ice cream sandwich for 2 points. DSC02003

A fellow ww co-worker brought around some brownies she made with “no pudge” brownie mix. I’ve never heard of it before, but definately going to check it out! This little guy was 1/2 –1 point…so I counted 1 point to go high. Mmmm I love chocolate! Thanks Melissa!DSC02005

After work I did some running around and got home around 6pm, chatted with DH for a while, and then we had to run a few errands. I snatched a peanut butter fiber one bar for 3 points. And DH got me a jr. frosty for 4 points. We ended up coming home early ‘cause my sister stopped over for a while. By the time they left it was after 8pm and we still hadn’t had supper. I ate a quick bowl of honey nut cheerios for 6 points. And was asleep before 9pm!! Not sure why I was so tired…maybe it was all that food I ate!

SATURDAY

Today I shopped! But I was also good…food & budget!! I am so proud of myself!!

I got up early and did a few things around the house and then hit the gym at 8am when they opened and got in a 21 minute run before me and two of my friends/co-workers headed to Des Moines (about 1.5 hours away) for a day of shopping!

Got ready quick at the gym….check out my new hat! Nice to cover my “gym hair” for the day! DSC02014Once I was ready the gym people were nice enough to let me use their microwave to make my oatmeal! I didn’t have time to run back home or over to my office so it worked out great! So I ate it on the run along with my all time favorite…an apple for a total of 3 points. Since it was “on the run” I didn’t get a picture.

I picked up my two friends and we hit the road. We had a great time and got some great deals! I was actually good…budget wise too! DH was proud! Oh and get this…I was in the Gap dressing room with my two friends just waiting outside the door and I was hoping 10s would fit…but wasn’t 100% sure since I only lost 5 lbs in Feb. Well I slipped into a pair of 10 long jeans, zipped, and buttoned them and without thinking squealed “THE 10’s FIT”!! I felt a little silly…but that was completely gone, because I felt great!! I didn’t buy the jeans though because that is my reward for being 160 and I’m not there yet. But I did get a pair of pin striped capris…well longer ones…I can’t remember what they’re called. But they were size 10!!! :D I was on CLOUD 9!!!

We had lunch at the food court so that made it easy to stay OP. I had a 6 inch turkey sub with diet coke for 5 points.

DSC02006After the mall we hit Sam’s Club and I stocked up on fiber one bars, blue berries, strawberries, and string cheese! Gotta love buying in bulk! On the way home I snacked on a fiber one bar, banana, and string cheese for 5 points

Got back home around 8pm and realized I had a lot of points left over, so while catching up on all your lovely blogs I snacked on some strawberries for 1 point. DSC02008

DH is helping a friend repair his floor so I am just waiting for him to come home. I have quite a few points left over, but its almost 10 and I really don’t want to eat this late and I’m really not that hungry. So we’ll see what happens!

Day 122 (Thursday 3/5)

Look out...I'm on a roll!! Ha ha! Two mornings in a row now I've made it to the gym! Now this morning was a bit short because I decided to ignore my alarm and woke up in a panic 45 minutes later! But I still made it and got in a 20 minute run!
Breakfast was a repeat of Wednesday...oatmeal w/blueberries and a sliced apple for 4 points! Sadly now the fresh fruit donations from my boss are gone! Thanks again Angie! But blueberries will definitely be on my grocery list next week. Love those little guys!
I was so excited for my morning snack today! Nothing new, but my FAVORITE! 1 1/2 cups sliced strawberries, 1/4 c grape nuts, and a ww vanilla yogurt for 3 points!! Mmmmmm!! Love this stuff!! Evidently I was so excited I forgot to take a picture!
The other day I realized I had a bunch of cans of Progresso soup I hadn't eaten in a while. So for lunch today I decided to have one of those. I had the chicken noodle for 2 points with 5 ff saltine crackers for 1 point. And of all days to eat soup...it's like 60 degrees outside! It was good and hit the spot anyway!
I grabbed another one of those 100 calorie packs of Oreo snack cakes for an afternoon snack. I knew I would be hungry after having a light lunch. And by 3pm I was! (or so I thought anyway!) So I snacked on these three little yummy guys for 2 points. And I did good...I enjoyed them and didn't inhale them down in a hurry like someone was going to steal them! :)
After work I headed home, got DH off the couch, and went outside to our beautiful weather we were having and took a walk! Wait....we took Abby to! :) She was on cloud nine just prancing right along! Total we were gone for about 25 minutes. Nice walk...makes me SO excited for spring/summer! Before we went out though I grabbed an apple (1 point) for a quick snack since supper was going to be later due to the walk.

I knew I wanted to grill tonight. A few nights ago a neighbor was grilling and it smelled SO good! I got the "itch"!! So tonight I made chicken teriyaki skewers with broccoli and side of brown rice for a total of 7 points. Well my grilling wishes didn't quick come true. I think we were out of propane because the grill didn't get over 250 degrees...not near warm enough to grill chicken. So I turned the oven on and popped them in there to finish off the cooking. Oh well, soon enough we'll be able to grill!

DH just got called into work. :( I guess that why he gets paid the big buck. *sigh* So I'm signing off and going to get my gym bag packed and hit the hay early to get in some good zzzzz's so I can get up early to get in a nice LONG workout!

Day 121 (Wednesday 3/4)

I did it!!! I got up Wednesday morning and got in a GREAT workout!! I ran for 20 minutes and then did 20 minutes of leg weights. Felt AMAZING!!!

I "spiced" up my breakfast a bit this morning by adding a few blueberries to my oatmeal....thanks to my director who was going out of town and gave me a bunch of her produce she knew wouldn't make it till she got back. I was quite hesitant...I'm a bit of a "picky pants", but I loved it! So my oatmeal with blueberries and a sliced apple totaled 4 points for breakfast.
My morning snack was also thanks to my director....THANK YOU!!! Fresh (free!) pineapple!! One of my favorite fruits!!! I think it was probably 1.5 cups, so I counted 2 points for it. Mmmm!!!

It is so nice out here in Iowa today! Over 50 degrees....aaahhh!! Just getting me ready for Florida in two weeks!! Speaking of FL I got in a tan today on my lunch and went home and had a FAST lunch before I had to be back to the office. I had a ham, turkey, & cheese wrap with a side of a sliced cucumber with some ff ranch for 4 points.
After work I headed to the grocery store. They have 15% off all food in the health section on Wednesdays so I had to take advantage of that! I also got some strawberries! 4lbs for $5.98!! What a deal! And boy were they good!

When I got home I had the munchies so what do I do? Grab the jar of PB! Ugh...I think after reading Krista's blog about not eating peanut butter for Lent makes me want it! I need to get rid of the jar...it's dangerous! I think I ate about 5 points worth.

The strawberries ended up being my "supper". I had 1 1/2c sliced strawberries, 1/4c grape nuts, & a ww vanilla yogurt for 3 points. This is SO filling!
This is something else I picked up at the grocery store on Wednesday. They were on sale for $4.48 and I had a $1 off coupon! What a deal! So this was my "desert" for 2 points!


I forgot to share this in Tuesday's post. But I got my 16 week award, the clapping hand, aka "stay and succeed award"! Another addition to my key chain!

Day 120 (Tuesday 3/3)

I woke up in a panic this morning. I couldn't remember what time my dentist appointment was. Was it 7:30....8:00.....8:30....for the life of me I couldn't remember and didn't want to get there too early and then have to sit and wait (dentist is 25 minutes away). With a wet head at 7am I called and they said I was at 8am. Relief! Didn't have to go with a wet head!!


I got to eat breakfast with DH this morning. It was so nice!!! I had oatmeal and an english muffin w/cream cheese for 4 points. And had to jet off to the dentist.
But man, the dentist is no fun! I had two fillings. Ouch! Better to get them taken care of though I guess. I have to go back a few more times for more fillings. I didn't have ANY cavities until I was 19 and now I'm getting TONS. No fair!

I didn't get to work till about 10am and just felt really sluggish. It almost felt like the whole left side of my face was numb...like I had a droopey eye. And then the numbness started to ware off and boy is that side of my mouth SORE!!

Around noon I decided to have my regular morning snack of a ww yogurt with 1/4c grape nuts for 2 points...but I let the grape nuts sit in the yogurt longer than normal so they could soft to not bother my teeth.
I always have a light lunch on Tuesdays since I weigh in at 5pm. I had a sliced cucumber with ff ranch, ham & turkey slices, and 1 slice of ff cheese for 3 points.

After I entered my lunch in my food diary spreadsheet I looked over my weight tracking spreadsheet and added up how much I lost each month, just 'cause I was curious:

November: -12.5 lbs
December: -11 lbs
January: -9.5 lbs
February: -5 lbs

What a dramatic change I had in February!! Now I know I can contribute that to not working out as much (ie sleeping in) and not eating on plan on a LOT of days in February. Makes me sad to see that measly little 5lbs!

But I've come to the conclusion I'm not going to let it get me down. I am going to push forward and try to have an AWESOME month of March!!

Speaking of March...here's a recap of February goals!

February Goals

1. Try 2 new WW friendly recipes - DONE!! I tried chicken teriyaki & sweet potato fries
2. Eat less in the evenings - I think this is going to be a constant goal for me...but I did ok in Feb.
3. Workout 6days/week - total I worked out 16/28 days in February - NEED to do better in March!
4. 161lbs by 2/28/09 - didn't hit this goal...missed by 3lbs.

And here are my March goals:

1. No Cool Whip for Lent
2. Eat smart/sensible while on vacation 3/18-3/25
3. Workout 6 days/week
4. 158 lbs by 3/31/09

WI tonight was pretty much expected....gain of .2 lbs. Not too bad though for all that salt I ate over the past two days!! The meeting was great though and got me totally pumped for the week. We even got a free sample of a mint cookie crisp mini bar for 1 point.

When I got home I heated up some leftover chili from Saturday along with a few saltine crackers for 9 points.

My sweet tooth got the best of me while watching the BL. So I had 100 cal pack of oreo snack cakes for 2 points. Speaking of BL I was pretty po'ed that it was to be continued. I hate that! But was happy to see a part 2 of "after the final rose" is on! :)

Day 119 (Monday 3/2)

Hope everyone had a great Monday!!

Today started out quite slow. Once again I battled with myself to get outta bad and the bed won. So no morning work out for me.

I ate breakfast in front of the tv...cold cereal again! I love honey nut cheerios and for some reason between last night and this morning I couldn't get enough of 'em! I counted 6 points for the serving that I had for breakfast.

It was hard to go to work this morning. I wanted it to be Sunday again and be lazy with DH, unfortunately that wasn't the case. It was a pretty good day at work though, so that's good.

Mid morning I ate the usual ww yogurt with 1/4c grape nuts for 2 points.

Lunch was a repeat of Friday. Couldn't let the taco meat go bad! :p So I had two tacos for 9 points. I am hoping those two "heavy" tacos don't hurt my wi tomorrow. I'm nervous after Sunday's eats.

Once again those tacos kept me full so I didn't have an afternoon snack. Well wait, I did have a can of diet sunkist for 0 points! Mmmm it's my favorite!

After work I headed home to start working on a wedding invitation order and supper. I was really wishy-washy on what I wanted. I thought I wanted a bacon chicken ranch wrap, but nope. I made one for DH anyway...so I had some sweet potato fries with a side of ketchup for 5 points. I also had a few bites of DH's plain baked potato for let's say...2 points.

While watching the Bachelor I had a few pretzels for 1 point and a ww fudge bar for 1 point. Carbs & salt....not a good combo the day before a wi.

Ok...so did you guys watch the Bachelor??? I couldn't believe it. I was, at first, so happy that he picked Melissa and then come to find out he's dumping her and wants Molly back. Dude, you need to make up your mind!! Uuuugggghhh...I think I say it at the end of every season...I'm not going to get hooked next time!

Anyway...sorry for the short boring post, need to get cracking on a few things here at work and wi's tonight...I'm so nervous....keep the fingers crossed for NO GAIN!

Day 118( Sunday 3/1)

It's March!!! Wow does time fly!! :)

Well I don't have a whole lot of good news to report to you about my Sunday eats. I took ZERO pictures and ate 39 points....that's 16 too many!!

My day started out great, I hit the gym for a 30 minute run and then came home and DH and I hurried off to me his family for brunch. They decided they wanted to go to a local buffet...uuuggghhh. I cringe at that word...buffet. I did pretty well I think...hit the salad bar for veggies and fruit, had one chicken leg w/o the skin, and a very small ice cream cone. Not too bad!

Then we got some of our "household" necessities at Wally-World (not a favorite on my list!)...which included some beef jerky & 100 cal pack of oreo snack snacks. Which of course I had to try one right away...AWESOME!

When we got home I was definitely ready for a nap. For some reason my run today totally wore me out! But before I laid down, for some reason, had to raid the cupboards and eat some cinnamon/sugar cereal (while reading fitness/food blogs..."duh darci")and a laffy taffy! Don't ask why...maybe it's cause tom is just around the corner.

Took at 2.5 hour nap!! I couldn't believe it when I woke up and the clock said 5pm!! I almost felt more sluggish after I got up than before I went down for the nap...hate that.

DH & I watched "The Happening" while eating some BUTTER popcorn (not ff) and a diet sunkist. That movie kinda gave me the creeps. I'm not a "scary movie person" at all!!

After the movie I thought I was still hungry so I had a bowl of WAY TOO MUCH cereal...honeynut cheerioes!! Why do I do things like this to myself?!?!?

But it's Monday now and it's a new day!! *sigh*
